K.
Vangorske
is nom de plume of Ljubomir Andjelkovic, a former diplomat and
political analist.
Mr. Vangorske's life has been almost as colourful as his novels. He travelled excessively. After having visited 56 countries, he settled in Ghana where he spent 26 years in diverse but stimulating circumstances.
He is a Monday-born Gemini and a great admirer of Umberto Eco, Upton Sinclair, Anthony Burgess, Herge (of Tintin's fame), Dan Brown and Nelson DeMille.
So far he has completed:
- four novels,
- a collection of short stories and
- a socio-political essey.
The main stream of action of all Vangorske's novels takes place in Ebonyland, an imaginary West African country which has borrowed its realities from Liberia, Togo, Siera Leaone, Ghana and Nigeria.
Most, if not all main characters are fugitives and persons who are in collision with prevailing social values.
His texts are rife with weird, outlandish humour.
The author is very proud of his art of denouement which is so rare in modern literature.
